We're on a mission to get better looking sites into the world and NOT at the expense of function, and without big agency rates. We achieve this by creating a robust strategy/UX at the outset, clear design direction, and by building most sites in Wix or Squarespace.
Why Wix & Squarespace?
Both website builders offer competitive hosting, great SEO & security, easy-to-use CMS for editing your end and are on top of latest trends and built-in features. Both offer ecommerce, booking/scheduling systems and email marketing without the use of third-party apps. We fully customise our sites so they're bespoke for your brand (not a template). Both platforms now use a drag & drop editor making customising easy, although Wix still has a slight edge for greater creative freedom without the use of code.
Wix & Squarespace offer excellent ecommerce (online stores, booking systems, membership subscriptions, event ticketing etc), we also work with Shopify. Getting UX right is fundamental for a well-performing website, especially those with a lot of content. We resolve UX as part of the website strategy phase, at the outset of both ecommerce and non-ecommerce website projects.

Following a discovery call, the first phase undertaken is web strategy: establishing the best approach for your site, to compete in your market.
Copywriting, photography, video and any other content elements are produced or commissioned and organised for the build.
The build might begin with wireframes to establish content layout for each page, or straight into the build. You'll view a test site to provide feedback.
Once the test site is approved, we begin all the behind-the-scenes prep required to get your site live, including domain transfer and on-page SEO.

Producing and organising text and imagery (content) for your site takes time, whether this is undertaken by yourself, us, or a third party. Don't underestimate copywriting, it needs to be authentic and concise in order to engage today's reader, they've heard it all! Normally we get clients to give us as much information about their brand and offering as they can, then our copywriter will pull it all together. Another critical element of a website is high-resolution professional photography, this could be commissioned, or purchased stock images. Smaller budgets also have the opportunity to use royality-free images, but you do run the risk of another brand using the same image. Investing in a photographer will give your brand the edge.
The strategy phase of the website is where we establish content required for each web page, key messages we need to communicate and how we'll communicate these through text and images. We'll establish who is producing content in our initial discovery call, this is a key factor in determining the website cost.
